Job Description

Job DescriptionThis is an on site role based in our Lachine officeAs a Senior Full stack developer on Vention’s Delivery team, you will be responsible for designing, building and testing robotics solutions which leverage Vention’s hardware, automation and software ecosystem. You will lead the frontend portion of the solutions and contribute on the full stack. You will work hands-on with robots on a daily basis, and with multiple leading robot brands such as FANUC, Universal Robots, and ABB. You will work closely with our Automation, Hardware and Robotics Engineers in this role. The Full stack developer is called to work in various phases of a project, from early-stage prototyping/mockup with a marketing intent, to a full development cycle for different projects.More specifically you will:

  • Architect, build and deploy public-facing features using TypeScript, React and Python
  • Write highly maintainable code through simplicity and good requirement assessment
  • Work hands-on with robots of multiple brands on a project basis.
  • Architect and program automation work-flows in Python for different industrial manufacturing processes using, but not limited to Vention’s ecosystem.
  • Provide actionable feedback to the relevant teams (Product, Applications, Sales, Marketing) to ensure that lessons learned from the projects are effectively addressed, preventing similar issues in future projects.
  • Work on every step of a project development, from prototyping UI’s to final development process along with post-project client support.
  • Establish and enforce robust software development processes, including version control strategies, code review standards, and best practices for modular, reusable code to ensure quality and scalability.
  • Mentor team members in adopting these practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.
