BSA (Business System Analyst) - COBOL Functional AnalystsAs a Functional Analyst within the Solutions Division for Investment Products in the Trust Center, you actively contribute to evolving a large-scale and complex business solution. You handle requests for changes or fixes related to the project, analyze business needs, and assist stakeholders in defining their requirements. You provide functional solutions that align with budgetary commitments and delivery timelines.You guide development teams during their analyses, address functional issues during the project lifecycle, and ensure that proposed solutions align with user needs, system architecture, and constraints. You identify system optimization opportunities, monitor IT systems #39; evolution, and advise users on operations computerization, management tool development, and system piloting.Key responsibilities include:

• Act as a coordinator/leader in planning, designing, and executing mandates.
• Define specific/exceptional functional specifications with the Product Owner and project team.
• Collaborate with business partners on requirement development and backlog management.
• Participate in scope definitions (stories, releases, sprints, projects, tests).
• Define and execute automated/manual tests within your scope (specific/exceptional cases).
• Produce or update required documentation.
• Collaborate or lead incident/problem management within your scope.
• Contribute as a specialist to solution feasibility/detailed design.

Advise and guide the development team and product owner, recommending functional alternatives aligned with architecture.RequirementsRequired Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years of experience as a functional or business analyst
• Knowledge of Mainframe MVS, business domains, analytical thinking, Cobol, VSAM, IDMS, CICS, Easytrieve, and/or JCL
• Background working in the financial services, trust, and/or insurance sectors
• Must be highly effective working remotely
• Must be able to travel every quarter or so to Montreal, Canada
