Valnet specializes in acquiring and operating properties that are mission critical in their respective environments.As the main manager of ScreenRant’s Video Unit, the Content Director - Video owns all operational initiatives regarding the creation, management, activation, and performance measurement of video content.The Content Director’s main responsibility is to design the operating model and content strategy that will offer the greatest value for ScreenRant’s video commercialization initiatives determined by the General Manager, and then lead its administrative, operational, and creative functions.The Content Director - Video will lead a cohort of highly skilled team of content creators and analytics team members to unlock exponential growth opportunities. This role will have regular exposure and accountability to the GM, COO and CEO.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement video content creation and commercialization strategies, plans, and procedures based on ScreenRant’s video investment models
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth for ScreenRant’s video business unit
  • Hire and manage leaders in all video content teams as well as writers, editors, producers, and other video content contributors
  • Manage the video content budget, establishing efficient financial KPIs that will ensure positive ROI of all video investment initiatives
  • Leverage video performance data to develop efficient video content creation strategies that ensure high performance of our videos
  • Establish standards, systems, best practices, KPIs and workflow processes for managing the content lifecycle, including producing, distributing, promoting, measuring, and deprecating content as necessary
  • Ensuring all video content is consistent with the brand’s style, quality, tone of voice, and optimized for a premium user experience on our websites and social channels
  • Work with the General Manager to identify content needs and opportunities to ensure high performance and consistency across our websites and other video distribution platforms
  • Collaborate with the company’s Tech / Product teams to improve the efficiency of our content management system (CMS), digital asset management approach, and other essential technology systems (e.g., video performance reporting, newsletter initiative management, social media channel management, etc.)
  • Participate in content expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, alliances, etc.)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher )in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in video or digital media commercialization, with a focus on entertainment content.
  • Strong leadership and management skills and ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Experience with video production andpost-production management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of SEO, thumbnail strategy and audience engagement best practices for video content.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
