Job Description

Job DescriptionAs part of the mechanical hardware team, your role will be to complete engineering assignments of moderately broad scope in support of the design and development of Vention’s new component. Your responsibilities will cover early conceptual design and prototyping up to fully functional and tested products deployed in the field. Also, our team is participating in the development of Vention #39;s 3D Machine Builder and e-Commerce platform.What you will be doing:Reporting to the Team Lead of Hardware Engineering, you will:

  • Actively contribute to the product roadmap and participate in all product development phases, such as: scoping, design, validation, product integration, and product launch.
  • Work with different multidisciplinary teams to develop mechanical, and electro-mechanical products.
  • Collaborate with a program manager to gather product requirements and summarize it in scoping documents.
  • Design mechanical systems, mechanisms and select mechanical components such as structural elements, linear and rotary actuators, pneumatic components, etc.
  • Design electronics enclosures in collaboration with the Automation department.
  • Participate in the development of different applications in collaboration with the Application R amp;D group.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews and brainstorming.
  • Work with purchasing, quality, and production departments to ensure a successful launch of new products as well as support of products already in production.
  • Validate, integrate, and configure parts from selected manufacturers, ensuring compatibility with the rest of the platform and compliance with Vention standards.
  • Perform validation testing of the products.
  • Contribute to the progress of the Machine Builder online 3D platform by adding content, suggesting new features, and reporting any errors.
  • Create technical documentation related to new products added to the Vention library.
