Job DescriptionCIMA+’s Earth and Environment team have adopted sustainability as a core value and prioritize the environmental, social, and economic benefits of every project. Our engineers and certified technicians have the detailed knowledge of local conditions to provide the full range of environmental services for clients in both the public and private sectors. We have the skills to execute complex environmental projects, but we also integrate green solutions into every infrastructure, building, transportation, and energy project we undertake. Join us and immerse yourself in a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative environment where you’ll make a real impact. Together, we’ll push boundaries and go above what’s expected of us to meet the challenges of tomorrow and engineer a better world! At CIMA+, we believe that the most advanced technical expertise is best shared, passed on and embodied with goodwill and collaboration. That’s why we’re looking for a Director of Geotechnical Expertise with a passion for soil mechanics and/or soil dynamics, who wants to make a national impact—and would like to use their expertise to develop major projects across the country, while contributing to the development of talent within committed, multidisciplinary teams. What you will experience at CIMA+:

  • You will play a key and visible role in promoting our geotechnical expertise on a national scale.
  • You will be an active member of our Center of Excellence for the Environment and Earth Sciences, a dynamic and committed community of experts.
  • You will be free to choose your workplace from our offices across Canada.
  • You will be joining an employee-owned company where collaboration and recognition are at the heart of our culture.
What you will accomplish:
  • Act as a mentor and technical reference for our soil mechanics and dynamics teams.
  • Supervise and validate major geotechnical studies on a variety of structures: power lines, dams, roads, foundations, buildings, retaining structures, etc.
  • Participate in defining and implementing quality standards and best practices in geotechnical engineering.
  • Offer technical training, share what you have learned and help tomorrow’s experts grow.
  • Collaborate with our in-house experts to integrate innovative, multidisciplinary solutions into projects.
  • Proudly represent CIMA+ at conferences and technical events and contribute to our position as a leader in the field.
