Talon Recruiting has partnered with a leading manufacturer of heavy equipment attachments. We are in search of a bilingual Territory Sales Manager to join their team covering Quebec and the Maritime Provinces. Overview of Position:Using your strong technical and mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment and practices you will be challenged to grow the overall business throughout the territory. Providing excellent customer service, this candidate will report to Manager of Sales and Marketing and will work alongside experienced Regional Managers and colleagues in Parts, Service, Inside Sales and Marketing departments. This position will work remotely from a location within the territoryTerritory consists of:Quebec and the MaritimesPrimary Responsibilities:Own the assigned territory with regards to sales, forecasting and activities for the brandDevelop and implement a territory sales strategy to grow the business as well as become a customer focused and self-sufficient entity within the Sales teamTravel throughout Territory to visit existing dealers and end-users with a keen focus on winning new business with Dealers and end-users in the TerritoryMonitor sales and market share conditions and present progress reports on a monthly basisAct positively and professionally to maintain relationships with end users and act as the primary contact for all Dealers and end-users in the assigned territoryProspect new accounts and partners within the territory and market segments not currently covered in a joint effort with Salesamp; Marketing Manager and relevant support staffPromote corporate parts, service, and refurbishment services to dealers and end-usersAttend and coordinate seminars, product demos and other sales activities as requiredPromote, train and advise partners and end users on products, applications, services, warranties and basic aspects of technical salesCarry out ongoing research on local markets and business activity (including identifying competitive presence) and identify new opportunities for current and future productsDevelop and communicate new product launches and other relevant changes in a joint effort with the marketing team (i.e. Product changes, Technology advancements, etc.).Work closely with the marketing team to enhance both the company and the respective dealer’s profile and attend trade shows as and when requiredStrategically identify new target customers and end users; develop strategy to penetrate their existing fleet and grow market share in their respective businessesPromptly resolve day to day customer issues and problems, liaising with relevant internal personnelAlways monitor competitor activity and pricing within the regionMaintain regular and informative communications both verbally and in writing to Salesamp; Marketing manager and where relevant to other personnelA major part of this role is working in conjunction with various departments, such as Service, Partsamp; Finance to show a unified presence to the customer/end userActively support product support team in resolving customer problems and be involved in the after sales market of services and accessoriesBasic Qualifications:College / Trade or Technical School; preferably in hydraulic or electrical disciplineDrivers license and clean abstract5 years (+/-) Business to business sales experience or technical sales, preferably with heavy equipment and/or complex heavy equipment attachmentsExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to travel the Territory extensively to generate businessExperience in developing and maintaining relationships with customers and dealersMust be fluent in French and English, both written and spokenComputer literate and proficient in the Microsoft office suiteEnthusiastic and able to work under pressure and on own initiativeWhat we offer:We are a growth organization with proven growth and results in the Territory, across North America and globallyAttractive base salary plus commission structureRRSP programHealth benefitsCellphone, car allowance and corporate expense policyPlease send resumes to nate@talonrecruiting.com
