Job Description

Location: Montreal, QCCompany: Nuovo Artistic PhotographyReports To: Jamie McCue, Head of Business DevelopmentAbout Nuovo Artistic PhotographyNuovo Artistic Photography is North America’s leading retail photography company, providing secure, inclusive, and empowering photoshoot experiences for women. We are seeking a dynamic Production Prep Specialist to join our Montreal R amp;D team. This role is vital to ensuring each new studio launch is smooth, standardized, and equipped with all required hardware and components. You’ll work at the intersection of logistics, assembly, and technical prep—handling a diverse inventory of studio-specific materials including camera equipment, lighting components, 3D printed hardware, mounting systems, and electronic accessories.Requirements

  • Assemble and prepare studio hardware kits including camera mounts, flash components, modifiers, and alignment tools.
  • Organize and inventory studio gear for each location build-out; ensure completeness and quality control before shipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations to understand evolving hardware standards and implementation guides.
  • Maintain documentation and checklists for all kit builds and prep sessions to support repeatability and scaling.
  • Assist in testing and QA of new or modified hardware components as needed.
  • Perform light fabrication or adjustments using hand tools or simple workshop equipment.
  • Help evolve the packaging and deployment processes to minimize install time and error in the field.
Procurement of resources and materials Qualifications:
  • 1–3 years of experience in hardware assembly, manufacturing prep, or studio operations support.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Comfortable using basic tools, understanding mechanical assemblies, and following diagrams or CAD-derived assembly instructions.
  • Familiarity with photography or AV equipment is a plus.
  • CAD or 3D printing experience is a bonus, but not required.
  • Passionate about quality, efficiency, and the satisfaction of a job done right.
  • Graphic design experience for the development of manuals is a plus
