Job Description

Job Summary:Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, design components of new products, and complete changes and modification to existing products. Provide assistance to sales, production, quality, purchasing, service, and shipping.Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design and develop components of new products and changes or modifications to existing products
  • Perform engineering calculations to ensure customer and safety requirements are met
  • Perform FEA simulations
  • Check and approve production drawings, instructions, manuals and bills of materials
  • Coordinate the production implementation of new designs, cost reductions and other changes to existing designs
  • Support production, purchasing, service, and quality with changes or reviews to existing product
  • Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with agricultural equipment (farming background) is preferable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain and understand technical ideas and concepts
  • Capable of managing multiple ongoing projects
  • High attention to detail
Working Conditions:
  • 40 hours per week
  • Capable of managing multiple projects
  • Occasional work periods operating heavy equipment
  • Occasional work periods in shop
  • Occasional visits to farms and other test sites
