Job Description

Responsible for product planning and marketing, with a focus on leading the full product life cycle. This position requires liaising with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Production, Service, Service Parts, as well as dealers and end users to ensure company goals and customer requirements are met.Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage the full product life cycle through concept, specification, design, launch and maintenance phases.
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting research through on-going visits with dealers and end users of the product.
  • Develop, implement and execute product marketing plans.
  • Communicate with Marketing to define strategic planning and customer targets.
  • Work closely with Engineering to define product release requirements and modifications.
  • Complete regular competitive product and price comparisons.
  • Analyze and prioritize requests for product improvements.
  • Determine industry trends and forecast accordingly to ensure that the strategic goals of the company are met.
  • Develop product training materials.
  • Travel to dealers and attend farm shows.
Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience as a Product Manager or combination of experience in a directly related progressive role would be an asset.
  • Five (5) or more years experience with agricultural equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Most hold a valid driver’s license and passport.
  • The ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams on a regular basis is required.
  • Strong product and project management skills are required.
  • A good knowledge base with mechanical systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computers and software, such as Microsoft Office products.
  • Related post-secondary education would be a definite asset.
Working Conditions:
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Travel is required

  • Works in a well ventilated area
  • Occasional work periods at test sites and in the R amp;D shop
