Job Description

The Front of House Manager is an important leader in the day-to-day operations of the clubhouse. The Front of house Manager is reportable to the Owner, Food and Beverage manager and Chef. The FH manager is responsible for recruiting, training and managing suitable service staff, maintaining the service goals of the company and keeping accurate records of shift activities. A successful Front of House Manager should have excellent communication skills, be professional and approachable and a have a unique passion for customer service. The ideal candidate ensures that customers are satisfied while managing back of house priorities.Responsibilities:

• Maintains a neat and professional dress code in accordance with company policy.

• Arrives 15 minutes prior to shift and clocks in promptly.

• Open or close the clubhouse daily.

• Hire and train staff service staff alongside Food & Beverage Manager

• Develop menus in consultation with F&B manager, Bartender and Chef, maintain knowledge of all current menus.

• Engage customers to receive feedback on their service.

• Motivate and be an active presence for staff during busy shifts.

• Available to assist any area of front or back house requiring assistance at any point during shift. Ensures spotless polishing of all glassware and flatware.

• Maintains constant attention to detail

• Develop staff schedules with F&B manager to ensure that staffing levels are adequate.

• Adjust staffing levels during each shift in consultation with F&B manager on an ongoing and shift by shift basis.

• Maintains appropriate and accurate record keeping including reports and reads for the shift.

• Maintains knowledge of, and the ability to troubleshoot, POS and merchant services software and terminals.

• Maintains and enforces knowledge of Food and Beverage Policies.

• Reports and manages any accident or injury pertaining to staff or patrons as per company policy

• Maintain accurate relevant inventory for clubhouse and bar.

• Ensures empty bottles, cans are stored in a safe, tidy and functional manner.

• Clocks out promptly at shifts’ end or whenever full duties are completed for the shift.

• Maintains contracted schedule availability and submits availability per company policy when required to Food and Beverage Manager

Requirements:

• High School Diploma

• A degree in business management or food service management an asset.

• Minimum 4yrs experience in the food service industry.

• Must have prior experience in Front House management.

• Smart Serve Certificate

• Excellent communication skills.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Available to work in a full-time capacity, with varying daytime and evening shifts. May be required to work weekends, holidays and be scheduled for banquet and private events.
