OFFICE MANAGERAbout the roleWe are looking for an Office Manager with bookkeeping skills to organize and coordinate administration duties/office procedures and to support employees with various assignments. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety.ResponsibilitiesHandle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary computer, equipment & office maintenance so that employees are able to work efficiently and safely. Address employee queries regarding office management issues (i.e. – computer hardware, software etc.).Partner with senior staff to update and maintain office policies on a regular basis.Ensure all items are invoiced and paid on time.Greet clients.Schedule meetings and appointments.Collect, process, distribute mail; manage email.Open and close the office.Maintain professional, technical administrative knowledge through the use of firm tools, attend training sessions & establish personal networks.Records & document support: new client set up, document management.Qualifications: Post-secondary degree/diploma in business (preferred). Applicants without post-secondary but who have at least 3 years office management experience with the duties and responsibilities listed above are strongly encouraged to apply.Must have strong computer skills; proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook/Office 365, Adobe Acrobat and both Sage 50 and QuickBooks (highly preferred).Attention to accuracy.Solid and well-developed writing and verbal communication skills.Strong customer service skills.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried position located in the rural community of Mount Uniacke, Nova Scotia. Applicants must be available to work onsite Monday to Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm). Medical and dental benefits are available to employees after completing the 3-month probationary period as well as financial support for continuing education.
