The successful applicant must have strong attention to detail, communicate effectively, and have excellent organizational skills. In addition, this individual should have an analytical mind, and always be looking for ways to better improve systems and efficiencies. • Strategically plan and manage logistics of transportation
• Provide excellent customer service to all customers
• Respond to customers and drivers communication via email and phone
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and customers
• Effectively prioritize all work orders
• Ensure accurate and timely input of data
• Manage Accounts Receivable: create invoices, statements and deposits
• Oversee the processing of Accounts payable and purchase orders
• Proactively resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
• Other office duties as required

Experience/Qualifications:

• Approximately 2 years experience dispatching
• Extensive knowledge of Nanaimo and the surrounding areas
• Strong computer skills- Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to adapt quickly to new systems, QuickBooks experience is preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong sense of urgency
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Positive attitude and effective communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• The analytical ability to find ways to better systems and processes
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
• Construction knowledge
