Position : Groundsperson IIIAssignment : Full Time, Monday to FridayWe have an opening for an energetic, experienced Groundsperson to join our team. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or designate, you will operate land moving equipment to develop and maintain playing fields, parking areas, roadways, underground systems and landscaping.Your WorkOperates a grader and/or a backhoe and performs a variety of site related duties.Provides first-line maintenance to machines operated.Operates various other equipment to assist in placing of concrete, installing drainage/sewer/water systems, and clearing and installing of playground equipment.Assists in planning and scheduling projects.Orders emergent supplies directly related to projects undertaken.Reports on work in progress and proposes changes in operations and schedules.Interprets plot plans, grades and site plans related to construction/maintenance projects.May direct and liaise with employees, contractors, staff of outside agencies and trades as necessary.May on occasion be required to perform other related duties as assigned.Your Education and ExperienceHigh school graduation or the equivalentTraining in the operation of land moving equipment and a minimum of three years experience or an equivalent combination of training and experienceExperience with civil ground work and pipe laying preferredValid B.C.
