This team supports Hub City Paving/Lafarge customers though New Product Development (NPD), Innovative customer solutions and customer support. In this role, you will work as part of a team and carry out hot mix asphalt and aggregate lab work as directed.This is an entry level position with great growth potential!Responsibilities:As a Lab Technician, you will:Follow lab Operating Procedures and Safe Working Procedures for all lab tasks and equipmentPreparation and sampling of hot mix asphalt, completion and reporting of hot mix asphalt Marshall Analysis tests, prepare, batch and test hot mix asphalt mix designs, asphalt coring on compacted pavement.Aggregate testing (grading, durability etc).Accurately documents results/observations and maintains paperwork and/or computer databasesCollate test results and inputs into files/databases – ensures that all data is filed in accordance with the QMSAs required, maintains the calibration files and maintenance/servicing files for lab equipment and processesEnsure that the H&S and housekeeping standards are maintainedWork in the field – as neededQualifications:Education & ExperienceThis is an entry level position with great growth potential!Any experience with aggregates and construction is an asset.This role is physical and will require the handling and lifting of dusty and heavy materials (aggregate, hot mix asphalt and equipment)As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, may be required.LafargeHolcim:As we are reinventing the way the world builds, we need world-class talent to join our Lafarge Canada team: people who are passionate, driven by curiosity and keen to grow, learn, develop and thrive in our high-performance culture.Whatever you do, you will make a difference here.
