Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools welcomes applications for the position of Responsible Adult on a casual basis.Assignment - On -Call, available to all school sites. Beginning June or SeptemberYour RoleAs a responsible adult , who loves to work with children, you will provide general supervision to children in the classroom and on the school property while developing relationships, providing encouragement, advice and assistance to students throughout the school day. With strong verbal and interpersonal skills, you will help to foster and encourage positive social interaction with students, staff and the school community while assisting the classroom teacher or Early Childhood Educator. With health and safety in mind you will be a positive role model for the school.Qualifications include high school graduation or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 months experience working with children or youth. Successful completion of the Responsible Adult course is preferred.
