Job Description

Who we are:A warm welcome to the Rocking Horse Pub, a traditional English-style pub nestled in the heart of the picturesque Nanoose countryside, popular with both locals and tourists.Our menu offers something for everyone, with an emphasis on heart-warming traditional English pub fare in a casual, warm, welcoming environment.What we need: We are looking for a Host/Hostess/Busser to join our friendly and energetic team.What You’ll do:

  • Greet and welcome customers with a pleasant, upbeat attitude
  • Seat customers and manage table flow
  • Deliver food and beverages to customers as needed
  • Answer the phone in a pleasant manner and respond to customer inquiries
  • Manage the reservation list and interact with customers
  • Assist with clearing and setting tables
  • Thank customers for joining us and invite them to return
  • Support other areas of the restaurant as requested, such as completing financial transactions and re-stocking supplies.
  • Uphold the highest standards of conduct, attitude, and professionalism.
Experience & skills:
  • Previous server or customer service experience an asset
  • Friendly and outgoing and demonstrates a positive attitude at all times
  • Must be able to work well with others to help create a friendly work environment.
  • Able to follow instructions and help with various tasks as needed
  • Must have a reliable source for transportation
  • Availability to work during weekends and evenings
