Your Opportunity:Silver Willow Lodge is located in the beautiful community of Nanton approximately 1 hour drive south of Calgary. The Instructor – Silver Willow Educator is an in-scope position and is responsible and accountable for staff development activities that support the Silver Willow Lodge team of professional and non-professional staff across to acquire knowledge, apply required skills and meet performance standards. Reporting to the Care Manager, this position has a leadership role in the design, delivery and evaluation of all staff education and professional development programs and initiatives. Working independently, the incumbent uses best practices, has in-depth experience in adult learning and a clear understanding of staff needs in order to develop and deliver evidence-based educational programs that contribute to continuous improvement in care services. As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice.
