Your Opportunity:Come join our amazing Calgary Rural Team as a Nursing Care Manager, in a position based out of Nanton. The Care Manager – of Nanton community health centre and the Silver Willow Supportive Living (AHS only), will be responsible for providing leadership to an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing leading care to Albertans. Your leadership, direction and organization of these departments will be in support of the vision, mission and business plan of AHS. The Care Manager, will be making key decisions and establishing and contributing to the achievements and goals of the Seniors Health portfolio. As the Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating change management, promoting team development, teamwork and coordinating staffing and clinical work as identified by the Site Manager and Director. The Care Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective framework for the operations of patient care services in order to facilitate the delivery of efficient, effective and safe patient care. You will be implementing and monitoring your portfolios budget while undertaking risk management, quality assurance and utilization of information in this field. As the successful candidate, you will have experience successfully communicating with different stakeholders and demonstrate a client-centered approach. We are also looking for someone who has the ability to develop creative approaches to client and resident care and who demonstrates sound critical thinking and ethical decision making. Minimum of 5 years of front line experience with demonstrated leadership competencies (e.g., participation on committees/projects, leading peers, consulting to management, conducting education, sitting on external boards, involvement with professional association etc.). A working knowledge of the Collective Agreements (HSAA, AUPE and UNA) is required.Additional Required Qualifications:A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.
