Job PostingNelson, BCENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES The Administrative Assistant is a part of the Environmental Services team and works collaboratively with others toADMINISTRATIVE provide consistent administrative support services to theEnvironmental Services Department. This position functionsASSISTANT as the departmental receptionist and will be a key point of contact for the public, other departments and ResourceRecovery Services staff. The Administrative Assistant mustFull-Time Term Position develop effective working relationships with localcommunity members and colleagues and provide exemplarycustomer service.This is a full time term position covering a leave. Beginning inJanuary 2023 for approximately 6 months, or until the returnof the incumbent.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Proven ability to act with a high degree of diplomacy, Minimum of 3 years experience in an administrative tact and professionalismrole in a fast paced team environment. Experience  Excellent knowledge of routine office practices andworking in a government setting is preferred. procedures; Completion of Grade 12/GED.  Ability to learn and become skilled using new computer Post-secondary education in an administration field software;would be considered an asset  Ability to work independently and within a consultative Training and experience in a computerized work teamwork environment;environment using Microsoft Office Suite with a focus  Demonstrated commitment to the values of the RDCK:on Word, Excel and Outlook.
