While our focus remains on providing our students with transformative, accessible and flexible higher education pathways, we also nurture an inclusive, supportive and genuinely kind work environment for our employees in three provinces and remotely.If you want to help transform the Canadian post-secondary education landscape and shine a light on academic excellence, please join us.Who we need:The Admissions Officer provides support for all activities relating to the admission of students into Yorkville University programs in New Brunswick campus and ensures that the admissions policies and procedures are effectively implemented.We currently have two contract vacancies available:

• Maternity Leave Coverage: Until October 1, 2023 with possibility of extension.
• Maternity Leave Coverage: Until March 1, 2023 with possibility of extension.

• For graduate programs, review and prepare completed application files for consideration by Faculty the admissions committees, ensuring that files are complete, GPA equivalency calculations and transcript evaluations have been done when necessary.
• For undergraduate programs, applying policy and procedures approved and audited by the relevant Dean and/or Faculty Admissions Committee, identify routine applications that do not require assessment by the Faculty Admissions Committee: evaluate such routine files, identify admissible candidates, review transcripts for possible credit transfer, process admissions and credit transfers. For applications requiring assessment and decision by the Faculty Admissions Committee, review and prepare completed application files, ensuring that files are complete, GPA equivalency calculations and transcript evaluations have been done when necessary.
• For all programs, prepare admissions communications, including admissions letters, liaising with Deans and Faculty Admissions Committees as necessary.
• For all programs, maintain appropriate files and tracking processes related to admissions, including creation of student records for newly admitted students and tracking processes for students admitted conditionally or on probation.
• For all programs, under the direction and supervision of the Campus Registrar and Director of Enrolment and Student Services, compile data and prepare reports and analyses required for purposes of regulatory compliance, university planning, and quality assurance.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Understanding of the purposes, structure, and administration of registrar’s offices in public or private degree granting institutions
• Understanding of and ability to write and apply policies and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work with digital student records management technology
• Ability to work in a collegial environment and to collaborate with Deans and other senior academic administrators
• Excellent written communications skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Previous experience of working in a registrar’s office in a public or private degree granting institution; experience reading transcripts
