You will join a dynamic and creative environment which celebrates diversity, promotes continued professional growth, and provides you with the opportunity to utilize your full range of skills, knowledge, and experience.Primary AccountabilitiesWhen you join our team as a Case Aide, you will be joining a team that understands the value of community and focuses on strengthening children, youth, and families to live healthy and thriving lives. You will provide support to and ensure the safety and provision of basic childcare. You will be scheduled to fill these service requests, on an as required basis, within a 7-day work week.You may be required to complete contact, noncontact, and incident forms along with other related duties to help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Regional Case Aide and Transportation Services Program.Qualifications and ExperienceYou have two (2) years of related experience supporting children, youth, and/or families.Experience in child welfare or other social services, including day care, or youth services is desirable. A completed bachelors degree in social sciences, or completed diploma in child and youth care, disability support services, human services, or social services are considered assets.You must have a valid drivers license, have the ability to travel, and access to a reliable vehicle. You will use your personal vehicle, and your vehicle must be properly equipped for the transportation of infants and children.You must have the ability to communicate in a professional manner using tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive situations as you support foster parents, social workers, in-care youth, day care providers, schools, birth parents and guardians.We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.EquivalencyAn equivalent combination of relevant training and experience will be considered.
