The GPO will collaborate with oncology specialists for clinical care, will be accountable to the NSH CCP Senior Medical Director, and will be accountable to the Executive Medical Director in their respective zone for professional matters and scope of practice. The GPO will work in a shared care model along with specialists from Medical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Hematology, Radiation Oncology, Urology, Surgery Oncology and Palliative Care, as well as other cancer site teams to manage care for cancer patients.The Aberdeen Cancer Clinic is an out-patient unit located in the Aberdeen Regional Hospital in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. The clinic is staffed by a GPO, nurses, pharmacists, clerical, and supportive care providers. The clinic offers cancer care including systemic therapy, follow-up care and supportive care, allowing patients to stay connected to their family supports and home community. The Aberdeen Cancer Clinic team provides quality care to cancer patients and their families close to home and along the continuum of their cancer journey.Responsibilities
