Job Description

Work ArrangementsLangley/Aldergrove WorkBC. Langley location is #110-19925 Willowbrook Drive and Aldergrove location is 26426 Fraser Highway. And we’re looking for passionate, motivated people to join us in making one of Canada’s best colleges even better.The RoleThe Wage Subsidy Advisor is responsible for the successful completion of wage subsidy documentation and agreements between WorkBC Langley, employers and clientsResponsibilitiesThey will:

  • Process Wage Subsidy claim forms;
  • Contact employers to assist with claim submission and documentation requirements;
  • Review Wage Subsidy agreements for accuracy and completeness;
  • Review Wage Subsidy employer applications for accuracy and completeness;
  • Managing Job Postings;
  • Follow up with Wage Subsidy clients for OES registration;
  • Assist Clients in registration for wage subsidy supports, answer any queries and direct appropriately;
  • Conduct on-site monitoring for Wage Subsidy clients to evaluate progress;
  • Conduct close out monitor on Wage Subsidy completion to ensure all obligations on agreement have been met;
  • Complete Employer Monitor Checklist to ensure Wage Subsidy agreement is adhered to including objectives, timelines and expected results;
  • Ensure job duties outlined in agreement align with work being performed,;
  • Must have transportation – monitoring will take place in the Fraser Valley and Lower mainland;
  • Must be available to work in office on Saturdays;
  • On occasion they will be asked to perform reception duties and guide/direct clients appropriately.
To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
  • Post-Secondary degree or equivalent years of experience in employment services related field;
  • Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) Certification an asset;
  • Experience working with individuals with complex barriers and a broad range of cultural backgrounds;
  • Knowledge of local labour market and labour market trends;
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal records check including a Vulnerable Sector check.
