We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious editorial assistant with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, passion for storytelling and interest in community journalism.The successful candidate in this entry-level position will support editors and reporters in producing unique and engaging content for print, online and social media.They’ll enter submitted content into online content management system with an eye for good SEO, write engaging posts for social media platforms, including Twitter and Facebook, and play a key role in managing the Toronto.com events calendar, offering promotion and coverage of community events and festivals — big and small. Helpful content on road closures, infrastructure updates, things to do and more will serve to inform and assist readers in their everyday lives.QualificationsYou are a motivated self-starter with insatiable curiosity and an appetite for information.
