Holland Marsh Wineries is searching for an energetic, sales driven individual for a full-time position as venue coordinator. Our associates must represent our award-winning hospitality and customer service through guest interaction, communications, venue tours, tastings and sales. The position will start as an assistant for the initial 3 months and will develop into a primary role.Duties & Responsibilities- Perform venue tours with clients- Developing strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interaction- Prompt follow up on inquiries by email or phone- Complete client contracts and manage client accounts- Planning and executing events from booking to initiation (presence during each event is mandatory)- Organize all client meetings & consultations prior to event date- Complete function sheets and banquet orders for all upcoming weddings and events- Available to work evening and weekends (especially “on season†i.e late spring-fall)- Able to troubleshoot any issue on the spot- Provide administrative support to owner/sales team- Customer service including selling wines and promoting winery services- Perform other duties as requestedSkills & Experience- College or University degree in Event Planning/Hospitality Preferred- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills- Ability to handle a wide range of customers and multi-task in a fast paced environment- Team oriented with an ability to work independently- Excellent customer service skills- Strong organizational skills and accurate work practices- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation- Professional appearance and demeanor- Commitment to self-development and continuous learning- General wine knowledge an asset but willing to train the right candidate- Must be able to meet physical requirements including lifting 40 lbsJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $43,000.00-$50,000.00 per yearSchedule:
