Using guiding principles Patient Access Associate Level 1 will either admit or register patients across the organization in a timely and efficient manner, keeping in mind the principle of patient focused care.Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of outpatient clinics/procedures
  • Demonstrates excellence in problem solving, critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrates analytical skills in relation to knowledge of hospital operations
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to organize and prioritize as required
  • Demonstrated ability to multi task

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Demonstrated individual leadership skills
Qualifications
  • Proven proficiency in STAR & PHS systems
  • Previous hospital or medical experience in a clerical role
  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Medical terminology
