Job Description

TLC Pharmaceutical Standards Ltd. is an independent service company specializing in the custom synthesis of reference standards for biomedical and pharmaceutical research. We supply reference standards to a global client base which includes biotechnology corporations, pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies, clinical and bioanalytical CROs, manufacturers of specialty chemicals, as well as hospitals, universities, and various other research institutions.The ideal candidate we are looking for has experience in sales, general knowledge in chemistry, great communication skills, and strong drive. The candidate will be responsible for establishing new relationships with customers as well as maintaining current ones by exhibiting excellent customer service. The candidate will need to work with various internal departments to ensure the customers needs are being met.Job Duties:

  • Positively represents the Company values at all times while keeping in mind departmental goals.
  • Establish and maintain positive business relationships. Communicate with clients in a respectful and courteous manner.
  • Identify client requirements and provide accurate quotations. Promote TLC products or recommend to clients suitable alternatives when applicable.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with various departments (technical/shipping/accounting/R&D, etc.) to get inquiries and POs processed quickly and efficiently.
  • Keep sales and order information up to date in online management systems.
  • Coordinate with other sales reps to ensure company quotas and standards are being met.
  • Perform market research and regular competitor monitoring.
  • Provide management team with regular reports on new leads, customer needs or interests, and competitive activities.
  • Schedule meetings and presentations from potential prospects.
  • Create, plan, and deliver sales and other promotional material.
  • Participate in Industry conferences as required (travel may be required).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in chemistry or other related field.
  • Able to successfully manage customer relationships autonomously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Self motivated worker.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and other digital tools in order to deliver tailored presentations.
