Job Description

CookThis position is responsible for preparing salads and sandwiches, flipping burgers and making fries, and washing/cutting fruits and vegetables for guest meals at either one of our Full Serve or Quick Serve Restaurants.This seasonal position offers an hourly rate of $16.14/hr to $19.87/hr, as well as:

  • Provides an extra $1.43/hr for all hours worked in lieu of benefits;
  • Provides the option to enroll in the company defined benefit Pension Plan with employer matched contributions;
  • Offers 4% vacation pay; and
  • Provides annual Employee Passes to various Niagara Parks attractions to be shared with family and friends.
Applications for this position will be accepted until July 31, 2022. Qualifications:
  • Completion of a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Training in Food Preparation is an asset.
  • Knowledge in food preparation operations, Food Safety and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Key Activities:
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work area by adhering to all sanitation and hygiene procedures, including sweeping, and mopping of the kitchen floor as required.
  • Prepares various food items according to NPC recipes, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs various preparation activities (i.e., chopping onions, pre-cooking various menu items, and preparing salads and fruit cups).
  • Ensure proper heating, reheating and storage of food items occurs in accordance with Public Health regulations.
  • Re-stock various items throughout their shift.
  • Perform various bus help duties as required.
  • Works in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act, First Aid, WHMIS, AGCO Regulations, Safe Food Handling Regulations, Recycling Programs and established policies and procedures.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
