Job Description

The Ramada Niagara Falls/Fallsview is looking for a motivated individual to join our Front Desk Supervisor Team.Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for overlooking front desk in a busy hotel in the heart of the Niagara Falls District.
  • Training of employees
  • Greeting and welcoming guests upon arrival by consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging service
  • Checking- in and checking-out guests according to Ramada Brand standards
  • Verifying reservations, address, and credit card information
  • Accepting payment for all guests accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout
  • Departure duties including friendly and efficient checkout of guests
  • Issuing keys and controlling safety deposit of the rooms
  • Answering guest inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Contributing to achieving the loyalty of our guests by exceeding their expectations and providing warm professional service
  • Handling guest complaints and comments in a professional manner
  • Being aware and informed of rate/sell levels and seasons, contracted rates, packages, and promotions
  • Pre-arrival duties including blocking rooms with respect to special requests
  • Clear and concise pass-on communication with all associates coming on to the next shifts.
  • Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with guests both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate professional telephone manners.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as cooperatively within a team setting.
  • Must provide a high standard of customer service.
  • Previous Front Desk experience at least 2 years or more is a must. Applicants who do not have this experience, will not be considered for the position.
  • Outstanding attention to detail – both personal grooming/appearance and in properly identifying guest’s needs, demeanor, and level of required service attention.
  • Opera PMS system knowledge is a must.
  • Education in the Hospitality and Tourism sector is an asset.
