Job Description

  • Retirement Home Housekeeping experience required
  • Familiar with HACCP, WHMIS, and Occupational Health and Safety, Sanitation Code.
  • Willingness and ability to learn.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand, and walk short distances throughout the day.
  • Must be free of communicable diseases. Required proof of negative TB test and Covid vaccinations
  • Must be able to get VSPC (Vulnerable Sector Police Check)
Physical Demands:
  • Standing for extended periods of time up to 8 hours/day.
  • Walking short distances at a time
  • Pulling/pushing/lifting housekeeping carts, vacuum, and mop/mop buckets
  • Reaching to clean in lower and upper areas of rooms
  • Ability to complete repetitive arm motions while cleaning
  • Dexterity required open caps, pull spray triggers, etc.
  • Cleaning residents rooms, common areas, office areas, hallways, public bathrooms, washing floors, vacuuming, and some laundry
  • Available to work days
