Job Description

About Us: Paradise Cannabis is a locally owned and operated retail cannabis store, dedicated to delivering the best possible experience for our guests. Meeting all of their cannabis needs, with a smile! The relationship our Budtenders build with our guests is important to us, this is why we are looking for candidates who are friendly, compassionate, knowledgeable, professional and have a passion for cannabis and the future of the cannabis industry.Qualifications:

  • At least 19+ years of age
  • CannSell Ontario Standard Certificate (Must be obtained prior to first day of work)
  • Pre-employment Criminal Record Check (Must be obtained prior to first day of work)
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent
  • At least 1+ years related experience in customer service
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a passion for providing a unique guest experience
  • Positive, friendly, approachable, and fun-loving energy
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing assigned tasks as efficiently as possible
  • Professionalism and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff and management
  • Strong work ethic, responsible and reliable
  • Previous experience with cannabis products is an asset, but is not required
  • Experience with retail sales, merchandising, and inventory is desired
Job Duties:
  • Build the brand by creating a welcoming environment for customers, assist customers to help identify suitable products, and ensure an outstanding customer experience
  • Stay up to date, with product knowledge, company information and promotions
  • ID customers when necessary in a respectful and non confrontational way according to company policy and procedure
  • Be an educator by providing/enhancing accurate knowledge about cannabis products and the safe consumption of all products, as well as effectively resolve any customer concerns and queries
  • Be a team player by contributing to a positive store environment through effective communication, teamwork, and partnership with all team members
  • Cultivate, grow and retain customer base through an exemplary customer experience
  • Assist with store maintenance and housekeeping, including stocking shelves, merchandising, cleaning and sanitizing to ensure the store is always inviting
  • Handle all Point of Sale (POS) transactions ensuring compliance with all store operating procedures and regulatory compliance, making note of and communicating out-of-stock and/or below-par inventory to store leadership as necessary
  • Ensure daily reconciliation of inventory and following up on any discrepancies
  • Support and participate in store opening and closing checklists
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and regulation compliance
  • Other tasks as assigned by retail management
