Contract$18.99Application Deadline: December 24, 2022Are you passionate about securing the assets of the company and ensuring the safety of our guests and associates Are you able to follow structured rules and procedures and work cooperatively in a unionized environment If you would like to be on a team of Great People delivering great service, we may have just the opportunity for you.The job involves:Maintaining public order and enforcing security and safety rulesControlling access to the gaming floor by inspecting ID’s and preventing entry to prohibited persons (those under the age of 19, showing signs of intoxication or trespassed from the properties)Conducting bag checks to screen for prohibited itemsAttending and assisting with emergency situations, liaising with outside support agenciesInvestigating incidents, preparing detailed security reports, and providing witness statementsAssisting with money escorts/transfers, ATM fills, and executing card and dice destructionAttending alcohol refusals and assisting with the removal of intoxicated guestsWorking safely, and in compliance with Health & Safety policies and legislationAbility to work respectfully and inclusively with a diverse group of patrons and associatesWorking independently and as one team that supports and helps one anotherFlexibility to support a 24/7 operation working predominately midnight shifts, weekends and holidaysThe ideal candidate has:Diploma in Law & Security Program or other post-secondary diploma program in a related field or equivalent experienceValid Private Security and Investigative Services Act license, Standard First Aid and CPR level C certificateSmart Serve Certificate and Valid Ontario “G†licenseExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to tactfully de-escalate situationsExceptional interpersonal, conflict resolution, problem solving and decision making skillsWorking knowledge of WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Trespass to Property ActExperience writing security reports and statementsNiagara Casinos is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment by providing equal opportunity to candidates of all abilities.
