The position is available during the winter term of 2023 in the Medical Division.The selected student will assist with the implementation of the Health Equity Strategic Plan and other Health Equity related initiatives. The mission of the strategic plan is to maximize everyone’s opportunities for health and wellbeing through: mobilizing data, evidence, and knowledge; delivering programs where people are; collaborating with and enabling partners and stakeholders; and advocating for equitable policies and programs. The student will assist with conducting literature reviews, environmental scans, analyzing data, writing reports, and engaging within Public Health and in the community.EDUCATION

• Must be enrolled in/returning to full-time post-secondary studies in May 2023 upon completion of student employment
• Master of Public Health or Master of Epidemiology co-op student preferred

KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of Social Determinants of Health and Health equity
• Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods
• Knowledge in data collection and general data literacy

• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as self-directed and/or with minimal supervision
