Job Description

Consortium Staffing Solutions is a recruitment company based in Toronto that is looking for a Tool and Die Maker to join our client #39;s team in Niagara. Our firm is dedicated to offering top-quality recruitment solutions to companies in Ontario and other provinces. We are excited to provide this opportunity to a qualified candidate.Location: Niagara, On Job Type: Full Time Permanent Wage: Negotiable based on experience Job Duties and Responsibility:

  • The role includes new die builds, die repairs and die maintenance.
  • Operate cranes to safely move and turn dies for new builds, preventative maintenance, repair, or operational needs.
  • Fit and assemble parts using a variety of hand tools.
  • Perform hand finishing, grinding, and polishing.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications of tools, dies, and stamping tooling.
  • Ability to operate multiple types of machines as required in day-to-day activities. These include mills, lathes, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, jig grinders, etc.
  • Be available for shift work and overtime as required.
  • Strong communication skills including written and verbal.
  • Commitment to continual improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Skills Required:
  • 5+ years of experience required in metal stamping industries and certification is required.
  • Ability to communicate in English; both verbal and written.
  • Must possess toolbox and the appropriate tools required to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Knowledge of progressive stamping, die-set servicing, and general maintenance.
  • Maintain professionalism.
  • Current enrolling in tool and die.
  • Ability to accomplish required duties effectively and efficiently.
  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (Required)
  • English (Required)
