Service offerings now include, but are not limited to energy audits, retrofits, weatherization, custom energy saving kits and rebate programs.As a company, we are wholly dedicated to providing each of our clients with exceptional results, while continually introducing them to latest products and technologies to aid in their program success.Job SummaryReporting to the Field Manager, the Energy Coach is responsible for installing smart thermostats (Ecobee) into qualifying homes. The first task of the Energy Coach will be to remove inefficient products and install energy efficient lighting, water measures and smart power strips in low-income residential homes across the province of SK. In 90% of cases these customers qualify for a smart thermostat replacement, and you would also be responsible for installing an Ecobee smart thermostat.You would also be responsible for instructing customers on the proper functioning and care of their new products to ensure that they are able to take full advantage of the energy and cost savings associated with the program.Furthermore, you would coach the participant on a variety of ways to save energy in their home as well as perform basic home energy assessments and provide assessment results to participants.Job Responsibilities

• Visit residential homes to install energy efficient products, specifically high-efficiency lighting, water measures and smart power strips; ensuring all installations are completed in compliance with technical and program standards
• For customers that qualify, replace their current thermostat with an Ecobee smart thermostat
• Educate residents on the use of their new systems; explaining various settings and how they will help to improve and maintain energy efficiency in their homes
• Perform a basic home energy assessment by collecting information about the participants
• Coach program participants on efficient use of energy through demonstrations, behavioural recommendations, and presentation of home energy assessment reports
• Ensure proper communication regarding appointment scheduling, installations and customer information is provided to the appropriate department in a timely manner
• Actively engage in creating a safe work environment for yourself and customers
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Detailed and accurate completion of all required documentation; collecting and recording customer information to meet program requirements
• Inventory management: requesting, tracking and recording accurate inventory to ensure accurate records of on-hand inventory at all times
• Display courtesy and respect towards all customers and their homes
• Keep current with and follow all company health and safety policies and procedures and adhere to all legislative regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ Gas Fitting experience
• Domestic Gas Fitter License
• Valid SK Drivers License with a clean driver’s abstract is required
• Access to a reliable vehicle to use for the duration of the program
• Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position including but not limited to, frequent lifting of weight up to 40lbs, bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather, must be able to work with approved protective workwear in dusty or slippery work environments
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
• Must demonstrate the ability to understand/learn new technologies (Smart Thermostats, Smart Phone and various applications)
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications
• Must be comfortable to independently engaging and educating during in-home environments
• Possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with outstanding customer service and organizational skills
• Very punctual and dependable
• Be comfortable with the installation of various products such as Smart Thermostats, LED light bulbs and energy efficient water measures
• Sales and customer service experience is a plus
• Residential energy auditing experience is an asset
• Possess a background in environmental field, or have a strong interest in energy conservation
• Access to a computer with the internet and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email to complete daily communication
• Ability to use a provided android phone
• Must have steel toe boots or willing purchase a pair (ankle length and up)

Standards and Workplace Expectations:

• Casual, part-time hours (20+ hours per week)
• Contract Position to Dec 2022
• Must be willing to do some travel up to and including 100km
• Must be willing to work week days and weekends
• Drug/Alcohol free workplace
