Clientsinclude children and youth who are insecure, aggressive, depressed, anxious and/or withdrawn, who may live in dysfunctional families andcommunities and who are suicidal, traumatized, criminally offending and suffering from significant development disabilities.The position performs a broad range of psychological testing and assessment procedures.The position performs crisis intervention procedures and treatment of clients.Qualifications:Required QualificationsMasters Degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology or Educational PsychologyRegistered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of PsychologistsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of community support systems and human service systems including relevant provincial and federal legislationKnowledge of the Mental Health Services Act and other legislation relevant to the provision of Mental Health services (i.e. Family Services Act)Other InformationPreference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.Additional Text:This position is responsible for the delivery of the High Risk Violent Young Offender Initiative (HRVYOI). The HRVYOI - Psychologist is part of a multidisciplinaryservice/program delivery team. The HRVYOI - Psychologist provides a broad range of assessment, treatment and consultation services tohigh risk and violent young offenders as well as acting as a resource for services to help prevent youth becoming involved in criminal activities. This isa designated field hours position.The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be datedwithin the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providingpatient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.
