Job Description

  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
  • Operate equipment while maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings
  • Grease and check oil and fluids for all equipment
  • Perform traffic control duties when needed
  • Sweeping sidewalks
  • Shoveling/raking
  • All other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Road construction experience in a municipal setting is considered an asset
  • Ability to understand survey layout and grade sheets is considered an asset
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience operating a Skid Steer at a finish operator capacity
  • Experience with cat controls is an asset
  • Capable of operating multiple pieces of equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Knowledge of base construction methods, road construction materials, heavy equipment operation and industry requirements.
  • Physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
  • Must comply with Drug, Alcohol, and Fitness testing requirements.
  • Availability to work both out-of-town and remote locations.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
