Job DescriptionWe are looking for a full-time Family Physician for a one-year term to join the Battlefords Family Health Centre primary care physician group in North Battleford, SK. Battlefords Family Health Center works with individuals and families through innovation and partnerships in a holistic manner to achieve optimal levels of health. The team comprises of physicians, nurse practitioner, mental health counsellor, RN, dietitian, visiting specialists and other allied health professionals. The team supports the opiate addiction recovery services (OARS) clinic. As part of the Primary Care team, you will be responsible for providing clinical outpatient, inpatient, long-term care and on-call services to residents of the Battlefords. The Battlefords Family Health Centre is open Monday - Friday and closed statutory holidays. Hours are from 0830 – 1630 daily.The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan.This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.Preference will be given to those qualified or those willing to become qualified to prescribe opiate agonist therapy.The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan and have current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage.In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Medicine in the North West Area.Job Type: Full-timeWork remotely
