Job Description

DescriptionWhat you’ll do:Reporting to theLiquor Store Manager you will be primarily responsible for providing exceptional level of customer service and maintaining a safe and efficient operation. Must adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards, as well as all regulatory requirements relating to the service and/or sale of alcohol. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting the Liquor Store Managers with providing daily supervision and direction to the liquor store teams and with the establishment of priorities for team members on a daily basis and provides follow up.
  • Responsible for providing information, assistance, and exceptional customer service to all customers and responding to general customer inquiries and be familiar with in store promotions, bulletins, and updates
  • Promoting and ensuring all company, safety, environmental and regulatory policies and procedures are met, including responsible sale/service and safe handling/storage of alcohol.
  • Receiving deliveries and completing required documentation including checking and receiving packing slips when unloading orders to ensure orders are correct.
  • Performing basic data entry and updating of product information to accurately report inventory levels

  • Grade 12
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Co-operative retail experience is an asset.
  • Strong customer service, communication and proficient time management skills are considered an asset.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Has strong problem-solving skills and is able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Possesses strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must successfully complete provincially required training/certification relating to the responsible service and/or sale of alcohol (ex. Serve it Right certificate)
  • Comfortable working with different types of operating equipment such as a pallet jack, walkie stacker and computers/till.
  • Must be capable of repetitive lifting to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods of time.
