Job Description

Tecvalco Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Labourer to join our team in our North Battleford facility!General Labourer Department: ManufacturingReports to: Manager of ManufacturingFull timeJob Summary: The General Labourer responsibilities include but are not limited to miscellaneous tasks such as emptying garbage, snow/debris removal, shop clean up, producing and prepping materials for the inputs/welding department and helping in the warehouse. Assisting with safety related tasks and material handling in the yard.Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately measure and cut parts and deliver them to the welding department in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Ability to operate Over Head cranes an asset, training will be provided
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required
· Maintain shop cleanliness· Clear snow from entrances and walkways when required· Actively participates in the implementation and daily routines of any safety related tasks· Actively participates and cooperates with any required facility processes and procedures· Other duties as assignedQualifications
  • Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, frequently reach with hands and arms, twist, bend frequently, stoop, squat, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (23 kg) on a continual basis
  • Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • High School or equivalent

  • The ability to work unsupervised for periods of time
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work alone OR in a team setting, following a continuous improvement culture to meet the company’s objectives
  • Some experience with heavy equipment and machinery would benefit
  • Forklift and OH crane experience would be and asset
