Maple Shade Farm is a family run tie stall dairy in North Gower, Ont.We are currently looking for a part time with the option of full time hired hand for an afternoon shift of 1pm-6pm. Must be willing to work 1 weekend a month. Fulltime/extra hours possible for morning milking shift of 4am-7am and/or tractor work if required and experienced.Duties would include:Milking (60 Jerseys)Scrapping and bedding stallsFeeding and caring for calvesMonitoring and treating animal healthPreventative maintenanceGeneral barn/equipment cleaningYard maintenanceAssisting hoof trimmer/vetOther miscellaneous farm related dutiesQualifications/Expectations: Must be reliable, punctual, respectful, honest and hardworking.This job is physically demanding and at times requires lifting up to 50lbs.Experience on a dairy farm is an asset, but not required.We are willing to train a suitable motivated candidate without experience.Must have reliable transportation to the farmWages will be based on experience $17-25/hr paid bi weekly, plus vacation payJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, PermanentSalary: $17.00-$25.00 per hourSchedule:
