Now Hiring: BC Certified Kindergarten Teacher (Full-Time)Saplings Nature School – North Vancouver, BCStart Date: September 2025Position Summary:Saplings Nature School is seeking a passionate, BC-certified teacher for a full-time position in our kindergarten cohort for the 2025–2026 school year. Our educators implement the BC curriculum through child-centered, inquiry-based learning, emphasizing outdoor education.About Saplings Nature School:Located in North Vancouver on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō, Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations, Saplings Nature School is a K–5 institution that believes nature is one of a child’s best educators. Our holistic approach fosters a sense of wonder and love for learning, with educators facilitating experiential, hands-on lessons in natural settings such as forests, stream banks, and parks.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the BC curriculum.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Conduct student assessments and contribute to social-emotional development plans.
  • Participate in curriculum development and weekly staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support a cohesive educational approach.
Qualifications:
  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate.
  • Current First Aid Certification.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students.
  • Preferred: Experience in outdoor education or multi-age classroom settings.
Compensationamp; Benefits:
  • Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually, with opportunities for growth.
