POSITION TITLE: Student Assistant (Temp) - 5 hrs/day, 25 hrs/weekCOMPETITION #: 2223-26517-04SSCOMPETITION END DATE: November 17, 2022 12:00 PMLOCATION(S): Lake Melville School · P.O. Box 40 · North West River · A0P 1M0JOB TEXT:Student Assistants work with and provide support to students with severe cognitive, physical and/or behavioural needs. The role of a student assistant is student specific and will vary from school to school.Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Training in the area of Early Childhood Education, Child Youth Care Worker, Special Education or other related fields
  • Experience working with children either in a work or volunteer capacity
  • Training in First Aid, Non-Crisis Intervention and/or Behavioural Management would be considered an asset.
