Job Description

Our client is a dynamic hybrid service and construction company seeking a Controller to lead their finance function. This is a key role for a hands-on, results-oriented CPA who will drive financial accuracy, process improvement, and future growth.Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, taxation requirements, and payroll regulations.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including full monthly reporting.
  • Manage cash flow and financial planning.
  • Handle corporate tax filings, HST, and government remittances.
  • Reconcile financial transactions and perform data analysis on a high volume of job-related data.
  • Lead, plan, and build for the future of the finance function.
Qualifications:
  • CPA designation is required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting.
  • Experience with cash flow management.
  • Ability to analyze data from a high volume of jobs.
  • Experience with Jobber, Smartsheets, and QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach.
