Job Description

You must be physically present in Ontario to applyReference: JobCart.caCompany Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and certified Millwright to join our client #39;s maintenance team. As a Millwright, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment by conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication equipment, robotics, and welding techniques.Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Electricians and other team members to perform maintenance and repairs on machinery.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on various equipment, including presses, conveyors, pumps, and gears.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Fabricate replacement parts using welding techniques such as MIG and Stick welding.
  • Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to breakdown calls and provide efficient troubleshooting and repair solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and spare parts inventory.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school diploma preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Millwright or similar role in an industrial setting.
  • Has 433A Certification of Millwright.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in working with hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication equipment, and robotics.
  • Experience with MIG and Stick welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls.
