Is an engineered wood product manufacturing company that specializes in roof and floor trusses, wood wall panels, ICF block, LVL beams, and steel roofing/siding.Gables Enterprises Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled Design and Drafting Technician to join their team in a full-time, year-round position.Position Summary: The Design and Drafting Technician is expected to prepare designs, drawings, and related technical information for manufactured roof trusses.Duties and Responsibilities: · Develop and prepare designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, and calculations;· Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting programs;· Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data;· Examine drawings for conformity and errors;· Complete technical reports;· Prepare contracts for designs with clients;· Coordinate drawings with other technicians;· Manage and prioritize tasks to meet scheduled deadlines;· Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications: · Completion of post-secondary education;· Minimum 2 years previous work experience;· Demonstrated knowledge of design and drafting programs specifically including Truss and Mitek software;· Strong written and verbal English communication skills;· Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills;· Ability to work well in a team environment;· Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:
