With access to the tools you need to succeed, you will make an impact along with other motivated and engaged people.We are experiencing tremendous growth and have an immediate opening for a full-time Laser Operator on Night Shift at our Norwich, ON location.Performance Expectations· Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings (blueprints) and/or work orders· Operate laser table to produce high quality parts that have minimal cleaning requirements· Operate small hand tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to job needs· Maintain industrial machines using knowledge of mechanics, layout, and machining procedure· Maintain inventory levels of consumables at all times and empty scrap trays regularly· Ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition, reporting maintenance services when requiredCredentials· Experience operating machinery and knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques such as Kanban, Lean, and 5S would be considered an asset· Must be able to read and understand blueprints· Ability to lift up to 50Ibs· Ability to use hand tools and power tools· Ability to troubleshoot by identifying mechanical errorsWhat Salford Group Has to Offer· Opportunities for career advancement· Competitive wages and benefits· Flexible work environment· Community based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities· Social committees and sports teams· Discounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discountsAbout UsSalford Group is a global leader in the manufacturing of tillage and precision application equipment, with facilities across North America in Iowa, Georgia, Ontario, and Manitoba.
