Job Description

Accounts Payable AgentGeneral Description:Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the AP Payable Agent is responsible for all aspects of assigned vendors as well as other Accounts Payable functions as assigned by the manager. The Accounts Payable Agent must also comply with established company policies and procedures and comply with assigned KPSs.Responsibilities:

  • Record vendor invoices and balance ensuring accuracy.
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Analyze goods received pending vendor invoices.
  • Review and resolve vendor problem documents.
  • Other accounting tasks and projects as assigned by the controller or supervisor.
Work Experience Requirements:
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience in payables
  • Strong accounting knowledge and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated, detailed, and organized
  • Proficient with computer software systems required for the preparation of spreadsheets, vendor documents, and other reports that may be required by management
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bilingual in French and English with excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
Education Requirements:
  • Accounting diploma or degree from community college or university
