Job Description

Analyst, Market IntelligenceOverview:The Analyst, Market Intelligence is responsible for project management and execution of market research and data analysis activities. The incumbent will have experience in quantitative/qualitative research, working with large datasets and measurement of return on investment.As we build out our demand-generation engine, we are looking for a curious, analytical and resourceful team member to acquire new data, work with existing data, synthesize it, make it accessible to key decision-makers, and draw insightful conclusions to enable the successful growth of our business.From understanding business challenges with internal stakeholders, to transforming these challenges to analytics projects, to finally delivering insightful analysis, visualizations, and datasets, the analyst will play a key role in all stages of the analytics value creation process. In order to succeed the analyst must demonstrate both sound technical knowledge and outstanding soft skills.Heres what youll do in the Analyst, Market Intelligence position:

  • Research, analyze and report on the landscape including trends, service lines, competitive environment and pricing/business models.
  • Contribute to the development of an annual market research plan and execute custom research projects, strategic analysis, and recommendations by leveraging 1st and 3rd party sources.
  • Develop and share widely a deep understanding of customer value, channel strategies/marketing mix and customer journeys across our service offerings.
  • Develop and manage market segmentation studies and develop lists for targeting purposes to help refine and focus marketing and sales efforts
  • Develop and prepare reports to assess effectiveness of marketing and sales activities
  • Develop and run qualitative/quantitative analysis & build reports/dashboards to facilitate awareness and understanding about key developments, and dynamics within the market. Regularly update a “market watch” brief related to changes in the marketplace and emerging trends throughout North America related to our service offering
  • Collaborate with other business units across the organization to integrate and analyze data
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations for operational improvements to respond to customer needs
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with external market research service and data providers
  • Translate research data and findings into actionable/strategic insights using strong storytelling, data visualization, and presentation skills.
  • Be well informed on trends of market, other party research, and ensure implementation of best practices.
Key Deliverables:Solution Design and Implementation
  • Develop advanced dashboards using leading analytics and dataviz packages, work with underlying dataflows and datasets
  • Present new business intelligence to potential users
Data Management
  • Implement processes and create documentation to support the acquisition, validation, organization, and storage of data, in order to support analytics and reporting needs
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns from historical data, generate and test hypotheses, and provide the organization with actionable insights
Advanced Analytics
  • Assist in development of segmentation, KPIs, and advanced analytics to drive marketing campaigns and pricing strategies

  • 2 Years of relevant experience as an analyst or researcher in a market research firm, B2B marketing/sales organization or management consulting firm
  • Experience sourcing and working with data to analyze and research markets, products and companies
  • STEM or Business degree, with strong background in mathematics, statistics or economics
  • Creative, innovative, and critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
