Job Description

    Description:ParaMed is currently hiring a Full Time Nursing Supervisor (RN) to support the educational and supervisory needs of our community nursing team in the Oakville. ParaMed offers a competitive benefit package!Job Type: Full-Time.Position Start Date: As soon as possibleQualifications:
      • Registered nurse in good standing with the CNO is required
      • A minimum of 5 (five) years of experience working as an RN to include some direct experience working in a community nursing setting.
      • Ability to provide support to our nursing team with Peripheral and Central line care.
      • Knowledge of community health care on a local level.
      • Experience working in a supervisory nursing capacity.
      • Proficiencies in forecasting staffing needs, training and mentoring staff, and performance management according to provincial legislation.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and teaching skills.
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
      • Experience using Procura or other Scheduling/ Patient Information Management System software is considered a strong asset.
      • Ability to provide support with nursing skills and best practice measures.
    Overview of Responsibilities:
      • Conducts in-home visits per ParaMed’s policy (Quality Management Manual – Home Visit Policy) to assess.
      • Receives and reviews referrals/requests from funder and private sources.
      • Provides advice and support to the Assignment Coordinators as required.
      • Communicates if needed with funder about patient risk issues.
      • Collaborates with internal and external health care team as appropriate.
      • Reviews, implements and complies with all policies and procedures.
      • Investigates and thoroughly documents all accidents and reports all time-sensitive documentation to the Health and Safety Business Partner
      • Develops and strengthens a positive working relationship with patients, funder and other service providers.
      • Actively participates in internal and external committees and community functions.
      • Committed to professional development .
      • Contributes to a healthy and safe working environment.
